A big step towards ESG sustainability: Daitoshi Electric joins hands with partners to actively and intelligently reduce carbon emissions
Won the Ministry of Economic Affairs’ “Large-scale Manufacturing Industry Low-carbon and Smart Upgrading Transformation Subsidy”
Unlike many traditional industries, Daito Electric’s ESG awareness sprouted very early. Under the belief of Chairman Lin Zhiming that “we want to be the greenest company”, whether it is giving back to the community, supporting the disadvantaged, or saving energy and reducing carbon emissions, we started very early. And it is actively ongoing.
Recently, Dadong Electric has expanded ESG to the entire supply chain, hoping to build a green supply chain. Chairman Lin Zhiming took action immediately after the idea came up. He called for leading the entire supply chain to a low-carbon and intelligent path. . However, this is not an easy road. It requires a lot of investment in concepts, manpower, and financial resources. Fortunately, the government has been promoting low carbonization in recent years and has also created many plans to work with the industry to move towards the ESG path. .
After careful planning and preparation by our colleagues at Daito Electric, on November 15, 2024, Daito Electric officially signed the Ministry of Economic Affairs’ “Low-carbon and Smart Upgrading and Transformation Subsidy (Low-carbonization) for Large-scale Manufacturing Industries” and received NT$22.1 million. The subsidy is undoubtedly an affirmation and encouragement to Daito Electric Power, and it is also the best motivation to urge Daito Electric Power and its partners to actively move towards the net zero goal.
The wire and cable industry is a traditional industry, and most companies in the supply chain are relatively conservative and small in scale. In the “Big Leading Small Project”, Daito Electric will combine 10 like-minded supply chain partners to participate together. Daito Electric will bring in energy and diagnostics, and provide information and resources to work with supply chain partners to save energy and reduce carbon emissions. It is expected that by the end of 2025, a total carbon reduction of 1,446 tons will be achieved, equivalent to the annual carbon dioxide absorption of 3.7 Daan Forest Parks. Stock, contribute to the green transformation and sustainable development of the industrial chain.
As the leader of this project, Li Yaling, Vice President of Dadong Electric, said: “We have been actively promoting energy conservation and carbon reduction measures, hoping to build a green supply chain, and through the “big lead small project” to drive the upstream of the wire and cable industry The supply chain will work together to save energy and reduce carbon emissions, greening the transmission of every kilowatt-hour of electricity!”
Chairman Lin Zhiming believes that the greenest company is the one with the ultimate blueprint of making every kilowatt-hour of electricity green, so that the existence of Daito Electric will not only provide safe and stable electricity to Taiwan, but also provide clean and pure “green electricity”. “, the future is sustainable.
